The 6th Annual
Asians for Mary
Pilgrimage was held
on May, 19th 2012
at the Basilica
of the National
Shrine of Immaculate
Conception in Washington
D.C with the
presence of his
eminence Donald Cardinal
Wuerl, all the
committee members of
Asian for Mary
Pilgrimage, 14 different
nationalities, and other
pilgrims from different
states of America.
The ceremony started
with an procession
of all different
nationalities carrying Mary’s
Holy Pictures with
different national costumes
into the Church.
Crowning of the
Blessed Virgin Mary
Chinese Catholic Community
was right after
the procession including different
hymns and performances
for Mary.

Welcome remarks
was done by Mr. Pastor
from Filipino Catholic
Community. After the
crowning, it was
time for the
Holy Rosary. The
opening of the
Rosary with Hail
Holy Queen, Our
Father, and Hail
Mary was lead
by Burmese Catholic
Community which was
joined by Vietnamese
Catholic Community, Korean
Catholic Community from
St. Andrew Kim,
Burmese Catholic Community,
Korean Catholic Community
from Virginia, and
Pakistani Catholic Community
at each mystery.
Litany of Blessed
Virgin Mary was led by
Mary Suilian from
the Burmese Catholic
Community.

The Mass
was started at
14:00 sharp which
was lead by
his eminence Donald
Cardinal Wuerl with
the participation of
other holy priests
and congregations from
different states of
America. The choir
was by the
Vietnamese Catholic Community.
During the mass,
Prayer of the
Faithful was participated
by 7 different
nationalities such as
Korean, Pakistani, Filipino,
Montagnard, Cambodian, Japanese,
and Burmese Catholic
Communities.
After the
mass, the Burmese
Catholic Community headed
to the Lincoln
Park in Rockville, MD
for the 1st Annual
meeting of Myanmar
Catholic Community. The
ceremony was started
by an opening
prayer by U
Joseph Lian and
Anne Cer which
was followed by
praying Divine Mercy
Rosary. After President’s
welcoming note, Singing, Dancing,
Concert and Band
Music followed after
that by active youngsters
of Myanmar Catholic
Community (DC Area). Dinner was
served at the
event with rice
and four different
dishes with desert
and cold drinks.
It was a
great ceremony and
also a get
together for all
the Myanmar Catholics
around DC area
and everyone enjoyed
it.
