Introduction

Mary Suilian introduced a youth program for holiday of July4, 2012 in VA with Asian Pacific Catholic network. Whoever participated will need to stay in the hotel at VA. In Sep23, 2012 hold fundraising for the event including culture show.

Hall

Awi Awi shared information of renting Hall around DC area, is expensive and restrictive on food and drink in the Hall. She found one community center at Rockville and it may cost only $30.00 per hour and min (5) hours required. The time could be from 5:00 pm to 10:00pm on May19, 2012.

Mg Mg Tar proposes to donate the cost to the renting Hall which $150.00 and everyone agreed and thanks to him.

Food and drinks

Mg Mg Tar suggested to buy roosted chicken from Costco and prepared with onion with sauce to make one dish. (Daw Mary Hmung or Sang Sang)

Awi Awi is going to order Burmese food with Pe Kalar Hin, pork curry, chicken curry, and Nga Youk Tee.

Mg Mg Tar will confirmed to the next meeting for the drinks

Thang Thang will shop for plates, forks and spoons, napkins, and trash bags.

Title for the event

Joseph suggested using the same Banner from Christmas celebration 2011. Joseph Thang will request Peter Pau who is created the banner for Christmas. The group agreed to use simple banner with MCA (DC area).

Daw Mary(VA)

Awi Awi reported latest information of Daw Mary who lost the house recently. She (they) cannot accept any visitor at this moment but everyone agreed to collect different fund for the family and visit the family and pray for them when available. The group discussed to continue and decided to keep connect with Daw Emily for the date.

Collecting Fund

Then everyone in the meeting contribute fund for the celebration and collected $115.00, Mary donates $80.00 to our fund. The fund in hand is $580.00 that include the fund collected today of $115.00 and $80.00 from Mary Suilian.

Music and Songs

The group continued discusses for entertainment section and agreed to keep contact persons are U Joseph (301)330-4317 and Nicholas (240)778-5412.

Programme

Everyone agreed to Nicholas to me Master of Ceremony for the event and the program should include;

·         Opening prayer

·         Groups songs

·         Solo songs

·         President speech

·         Speech from honor person in the community

·         Dinner time

·         Announcements time

·         Closing prayer

The group agreed to continue discuss detail in coming meeting.

Next Meeting

Everyone agreed to continue the next meeting on April07, 2012 and location will be announce when it confirmed.
