Opening prayer and introduction

Opening prayer led by Joseph Lal (Vice President) and follow by his briefly speech for the community.

Joseph Thang (President) explained that as per community’s committee agreed, the community has two major events to celebrate which is Christmas Day and Community Gathering Day (in May). To celebrate Christmas in where, when (what day), and how to raise fund for the celebration.

Anthony Aung (Secretary) confirmed that to learned experiences from last year and make a better one this year. He suggested that fund can be raise by Christmas caroling. He also got pre-agreement with Fr Daniel (from New York) to participate with our celebration on Sunday (12/23/2012). He explained that Priest can only offer on Sunday but not on Tuesday (12/25/2012).

Open discussion

Every one discussed such as choose the day to celebrate that Tuesday (12/25/2012) or Sunday (12/23/2012), with Mass (Sunday) or without Mass (Tuesday). Everyone agreed to continue find another Priest which may offer on Tuesday (12/25/2012). The group agreed to set the date to make decision on October27, 2012 to confirm to choose;

1.      Sunday with Priest (Fr Daniel)

2.      Tuesday with Priest (if we get one)

3.      Tuesday without Priest

Fund

Everyone continued discuss to caroling for Christmas. The group decided to caroling three nights and one night at Baltimore area, another night at Rockville area, and another night at Virginia and DC area. Joseph Thang introduce to sell Raffle tickets for Christmas fund and the group agreed with selling Raffle tickets but opening prize on New Year night as youth program. The ticket will be $2.00 per ticket and three tickets will be $5.00. The prizes would be value of $400.00, the group decided to make a decision on what will be the prizes on Oct27, 2012 or in the next meeting.   Everyone suggested that to open information table and collect donation for the community fund.

Caroling

Anthony Aung suggested to selecting a person to manage the trip for caroling on each region.

Joseph Thang reported to the meeting that what discussed and decided.

The group prayed night prayers led by Joseph Lal and the meeting was over at 10:00pm.
